PANCAKES

I made pancakes for the family this morning. I used the mix because every recipe i checked out requires baking powder/soda (i only trust nigella gordon and laura) and i didn't want to buy it just for making pancakes so yes i used a mix. I made banana pancakes and plain ones. let me just say that it really requires skills to make the banana one because if you cook it for too long, the banana will fall out (idky) but if you under-cook it, the banana won't be soft enough. it has to be reallllly soft yknw what i mean urgh banana bananannananananana i love bananas hehehe

i wanted them to be of this circumference but thicker probably like half a cm but that proved impossible because i added too much milk so it was too runny sigh nvm everyone says it tastes good except tyng but i personally didn't like it that much too haha

BEST maple syrup ever costs a bit tho, 14.40

pelangi kek

hi ytd i decided to bake a rainbow cake. i only manage to make 5 colors bc....my pan is too big. if i did make 7 colors, each slice will be very very thin. my initial plan was to make this

so i made cream cheese frosting. but idky my cream cheese frosting turned out yellow instead of white i guess i put too much butter? god knows so anyway this layer by layer cake...wasn't possible because even with 5 layers, it will still be too thin. so instead, i decided to do this

hahaha its plenty simple to do bc i decided to use betty crocker's white cake mix but it was a bad decision. the cake was too sweet i should've made my own oh well. anw, just mix as per instruction and then split it into how many colors you want, mix it well, then bake! so easy!

mixing the colors was fun i am master of color hahaha i only bought the primary colors and mixed the other colors myself

hehehe so nice right anyway i am very proud to say this i've known the order of the colors of the rainbow since i was a kid at first i wasn't all proud about this until i realise, MANY PEOPLE OUR AGE DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT COLORS THERE ARE IN A RAINBOW OMG. MUCH LESS THE ORDER.

these are sales items mind you

just 8 of the many things i want urgh i need alot of money

It's the 2 week holidays though short, i think this holiday has been the most productive holiday. I've started baking haha so now when people ask what's your hobby i think i can safely say BAKING. lololol though i don't like how that sounds it just sounds gay. "my hobby is baking" And apart from baking, I met up with Joel hihi hahaha its a good holiday when you meet up with someone you haven't met in a long time. ok, i'll just let the pictures do the baking i mean talking lol i am mad.

tyng made the lemonade its nicer than aunty anne's not kidding and i only topped half the cheesecake with strawberry (bc my fridge has an endless supply of them) and jam (not enough berries to make compote) bc some people like it...original. just the way it is hahahaha. i did the no bake cheesecake (duh) for our monthly gathering (this month happens to be a family gathering) and IT TASTES LIKE HEAVEN SERIOUSLY. everyone says its great and my brother even asked me to make another so he can bring to his office since he has a mini-fridge under his table. and of course being the *ahem nice sister i am, i did. AND HE SHARED IT WITH HIS COLLEAGUES AND THEY ALL SAID ITS GOOD HUAHUAHUA. just let me gloat. this is my blog anyway hmph.
